Guidelines for a Great Stay
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, Zion Utah Jellystone Park™ has a set of park policies in place. Review our rules on reservations, safety, pet policies, and more before your visit.
GENERAL POLICIES
Operating Hours and Seasons
Camp Ground: Open Year-round
Peak Season: Memorial Day Weekend – Mid-August. During Peak Season, full access to events and amenities is available.
Non-Peak Season: Events and amenities have limited availability.
Quiet Hours and Curfew
Quiet Hours: Daily from 11 PM to 8 AM.
Curfew: Children under 18 must not leave their site after 10 PM unless accompanied by an adult. Children under 5 must always be accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for their children’s actions and safety.
Safety and Conduct
Speed Limit: The park speed limit is 5 ½ MPH to ensure everyone’s safety.
Wristbands are issued upon check-in and must be worn at all times. They identify you as a registered guest and grant access to park amenities, activities, and facilities. Replacement bands are $5.34
Environmental and Facility Use
Trash Disposal: Please use dumpsters to dispose of trash. Washing dishes or pets in Comfort Stations is not allowed.
Fires: Wood-burning fires are permitted in designated fire pits only.
Golf Carts and ATVs: Personal golf carts and ATVs are allowed if proof of insurance is provided. Form required to be filled out at check in.
Guests and Visitors
Registration: Additional guests and visitors must register and pay applicable fees:
A fee of $10 per day applies when adding a guest to a reservation. The guest must be added for the entire duration of the stay; partial-stay guest additions are not available.
- Winter: Overnight – $0
- Peak Season & Shoulder Season: Overnight – $10
RV SITE AND CABIN RENTAL POLICIES
Check-In and Check-Out Times for RVs
Check-In: 1 PM
Check-Out: 11 AM
Check-In and Check-Out Times for Cabins and Tent sites.
Check-In: 4 PM
Check-Out: 10 AM
Booking and Rates
Site Requests: While specific campsites or cabins may be requested, we cannot guarantee these requests. You can ensure your preferred site or cabin by paying an applicable site lock fee at the time of booking. Without this fee, you are guaranteed only the type of site or cabin you selected, not the specific unit number or location.
Rate Fluctuation: Our rates fluctuate based on occupancy, similar to hotels and airlines, and vary with availability. Rates are subject to change with each search.
Holiday Stays: A three-night minimum stay for cabins during peak season and is required during Memorial Day, 4th of July (6/26 – 7/4), Labor Day, and Columbus Day weekends.
Vehicles and Parking
Vehicle Limit: A maximum of two vehicles are allowed per RV or tent site, or cabin rental with parking pass. Extra vehicles will incur a fee and must be parked in the designated overflow lot.
Vehicles must be parked in your designated area and are not permitted on the road. Paid parking is required for water zone parking.
Site Usage
Tents: Tents are not permitted at designated RV sites or within cabin or cottage areas.
Smoking Policy
Non-Smoking: All cabins and pods are non-smoking. Violating this policy will result in a $1,000 excessive cleaning fee.
Cabins & Pods
All cabins and camping pods are pet-free to ensure a clean and allergy-friendly environment for all guests. Please make alternative arrangements for your pets if booking one of these accommodations.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
Standard Fee: A $25 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations.
Less Than Two Weeks Notice (14 days before arrival date): No refunds will be issued.
You can reschedule one time for free, up to two weeks (15 days) before your check-in date.
Cabana and Canopy: Reservations are non-refundable; however, the reservation date can be changed if it is more than 7 days before the arrival date and we have availability.
Water Zone Passes: All Water Zone tickets: Season Passes, Day Passes (Water Zone, Wibit, Combo, etc) are non-refundable. However, the tickets can be used any day our Water Zone and Wibit are open for operation during the season they are purchased. Refer to our Park Hours page.
PROHIBITED ITEMS AND ACTIONS
Weapons: Firearms, ammunition, knives, and any kind of weapon are strictly prohibited throughout the park.
Fireworks: The use of fireworks is strictly forbidden within the park.
Tobacco and Vaping: Smoking, vaping, and the use of chewing tobacco or similar products are prohibited in all areas of the resort, especially near attractions frequented by children. If renting an RV site, tobacco use is allowed within your designated camping area. If occupants are found to be caught smoking in cabins, restrooms or pods they will be asked to leave immediately and will be charged an additional cleaning fee and fine of $1,000.
Please consume alcoholic beverages responsibly. No one under the age of 21 is permitted to consume alcohol. No alcohol is allowed in Water Zone areas.
Inappropriate behavior or language is not tolerated and may result in refusal of admission or ejection from the park without a refund.
Skateboards, hoverboards, motorbikes, and drones are prohibited within the park boundaries.
Motorcycles are permitted for arrival and departure only; riding them around the park is not allowed.
Bicycle riding is not permitted after dark. State law requires all guests aged 13 and under to wear helmets while biking.
PET POLICY
We love welcoming pets to our park!
To ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests, please follow these guidelines:
- Pets are not allowed in cabins or tent sites, including tent pods.
- A maximum of 2 pets per RV site is permitted.
- Pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations and wear valid rabies tags.
- Pets must be on a leash, attended at all times, and cleaned up after by their owner.
- Pets may not be left tied up outside, chained to RVs/trailers, or kept in portable fences.
- Pets are not permitted in any buildings, on playgrounds, jump pillow or inside the Water Zone fence (per local ordinances).
- All pets must be friendly toward people and other animals.
- Owners must be able to control their pets on a leash at all times.
- Aggressive behavior (lunging, growling, snapping, or biting) will not be tolerated. Guests with aggressive pets may be asked to leave without refund.
- Excessive barking or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the park.
- For the safety of all guests, PitBulls and Rottweilers are not permitted in the park.
- If your dog cannot be safely managed or interacts aggressively, you may be asked to remove them from the park.
WATER ZONE POLICY
General Information
Operating Hours:
Winter: 11 AM to 10 PM* (includes 1 adult pool and 1 hot tub during winter hours – Campers only)
Summer: 11 AM to 7 PM*
*Hours are tentative and subject to change.
Paid Parking: Available on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited to park occupancy levels.
Entry Requirements: All guests must pay the admission fee to enter, whether using the pools or not. Resort guests receive special access. Re-entry is allowed with valid admission proof.
Admission Policies: No refunds are available for inclement weather, annual passes, or other reasons.
Safety and Conduct
Supervision for Children: Children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible guardian over the age of 14, with a maximum ratio of two non-swimmers per adult.
Prohibited Items: The following are not allowed within the park:

Outside food and drinks are not permitted, as food and beverages are available from on-site vendors and the Ranger Station. Coolers are only allowed with certain restrictions and require a valid paid cooler pass.
- Glass containers and coolers
- Firearms, ammunition, knives, and other weapons
- Alcohol, canteens, and flasks
- Umbrellas, outside chairs, tubes, or shade structures due to safety concerns with sudden strong winds
- Smoking, vaping, chewing, dipping, or any type of tobacco
- Inappropriate behavior or language
- Bag Checks: All bags, baskets, and containers are subject to inspection.
- Behavior: No diving or flips (except in designated areas), horseplay, or running is permitted.
Health and Dress Code
Swimwear: Traditional swimwear required. No provocative attire, street clothes, or clothing with metal such as rivets, snaps, buttons, belts, or metal ornamentation. Swim diapers are mandatory for all diapered guests. No wetsuits are allowed on slides.
Footwear: Water shoes are recommended around the park, but not allowed on slides or water attractions.
Health Precautions:
- Guests must shower before entering the water.
- Those with recent stomach or intestinal illnesses or open wounds are not allowed in the water.
- Hand washing is mandatory after restroom use or diaper changes.
- Diaper changes should not be done near the pool deck, and drinking pool water is prohibited.
- Swim diapers must be worn for all kids that are not toilet trained.
Lost Items and Privacy
- Zion Utah Jellystone Park™ is not liable for lost or stolen items. Guests are encouraged to secure their valuables before entering.
- The use of recording devices is strictly prohibited in locker rooms and restrooms.
Inclement Weather Policy and Closing
- In the event that the park closes due to uncontrollable circumstances more than 2 hours prior to the scheduled closing time, your wristband will be reactivated and valid for use anytime during the current season. Guests will need to hold on to their ticket(s) from the day of their visit and bring those back in order to receive a rain check. If wristband is lost reactivation will not be given. Cooler passes and other add-ons are not included and must be repurchased on day chosen to return.
- The Yogi Bear™ Water Zone may suspend operations due to severe weather conditions like rain, electrical storms, or high winds. Operations will resume once conditions are safe. No refunds or credits will be given during water zone suspension.

Extreme wind or lightning may result in water slide suspension while the rest of the park remains open. This does not qualify as a park closure, as all other areas are still operational.
- Rides and attractions close 15 minutes before the park’s closing time.
- If Water Zone closes due to weather, rainchecks will be issued. Please note: You must present wristband to claim raincheck.
COOLER POLICY
Prohibited food, beverages, and personal items are not permitted in the water areas. We do not hold or store these items. Guests must either dispose of prohibited items at the entrance or return them to their vehicle, campsite, or cabin before entering.
We do not offer Season Cooler Passes
Cooler Passes are a one time use.
Do I Need a Cooler Pass?
- Yes — If you bring a cooler of any size.
- No — If you only have sealed water bottle.
- Bag of snacks? – All food needs to be in a cooler with a cooler pass.
Cooler Size Limit
- Max size: 48 quarts
- Larger than 48qt? You’ll need two passes
What’s Always Banned (Pass or not):
- Glass containers (including baby bottles and medications)
- Alcohol
- Knives or weapons
- Restaurant food or takeout
Allowed in Coolers (with a pass):
- Sealed water bottles (any quantity)
- Hydration drinks
- Fruit, chips, sodas
- Sandwich-making ingredients
- Premade sandwiches from stores (Walmart, Maverik, etc.) — not from restaurants
- “Etc.” = Reasonable picnic-style foods
Water Rules
- Sealed and Personal water bottles: Always free to bring (even in large amounts)
Cooler Entry Rules
- Cooler can enter only once
- Must close completely
- All food must fit inside the cooler (no extras on top or the side)
Snack Purchases at the Park
- Snacks bought at the Ranger Station are allowed
- Must show receipt to staff at bag check
- Staff will verify the time and date on the receipt
