When does the water zone (park) open?

The Water Zone is open weekends from March 14, 2026 to Memorial Day 2026, daily from Memorial Day weekend to August 9, 2026, and weekends from August 10, 2026 to October 25, 2026, weather permitting.

One of our pools is heated and remains open during the winter, along with the hot tub, so you can enjoy these amenities year-round.

(WIBIT) Floating Obstacle Course: Availability TBD (dependent on Samson Pond’s water temperature, which must be at least 67°F).

What if you close due to the weather or other unforeseen events?

In the event that the park closes due to uncontrollable circumstances more than 2 hours prior to the scheduled closing time, your ticket will be reactivated and valid for use anytime during the current season. Guests will need to hold on to their ticket(s) from the day of their visit and bring those back in order to receive a rain check.

Can we visit the Water Zone even if we aren’t staying overnight?

Do you offer family passes for the Water Zone?

Yes! Family passes become available November 1st. These passes include 4 family members, and you can add extra members at a discounted rate! Click Here

Can I bring a Cooler? What's your policy?

Yes! You must purchase a Cooler Pass and follow our Cooler Pass Policy below:

Do I Need a Cooler Pass?

  • Yes — If you bring a cooler of any size.
  • No — If you only have sealed water bottles not inside a cooler or bag.
  • Bag of snacks? – All food needs to be in a cooler with a cooler pass.

Cooler Size Limit

  • Max size: 48 quarts
  • Larger than 48qt? You’ll need two passes

What’s Always Banned (Pass or not):

  • Glass containers (including baby bottles)
  • Alcohol
  • Knives or weapons
  • Restaurant food or takeout

Allowed in Coolers (with a pass):

  • Sealed water bottles (any quantity)
  • Hydration drinks
  • Fruit, chips, sodas
  • Sandwich-making ingredients
  • Premade sandwiches from stores (Walmart, Maverik, etc.) — not from restaurants
  • “Etc.” = Reasonable picnic-style foods

Water Rules

  • Sealed water bottles: Always free to bring (even in large amounts)
  • Personal water bottles: Always free to bring.
  • If water is in a cooler, a cooler pass is required

Cooler Entry Rules

  • Cooler can enter only once
  • Must close completely
  • All food must fit inside the cooler (no extras on top or the side)

Snack Purchases at the Park

  • Snacks bought at the Ranger Station are allowed
  • Must show receipt to staff at bag check
  • Staff will verify the time and date on the receipt

    How much does the Floating Obstacle Course cost?

    The Floating Obstacle Course costs $20 per person for a day pass or $45 per person for an all-stay pass. Guests ages 6 and older can participate, so get ready for some fun on the water!

    Best of all, access to the Floating Obstacle Course is included with an overnight stay at the park.

    What’s the age limit for the Floating Obstacle Course?

    Only adventurers aged 6 and up can conquer the Floating Obstacle Course (WIBIT)!

    Does the day pass include the Floating Obstacle Course?

    No; The Floating Obstacle Course (WIBIT) is an additional fee. We recommend grabbing a combo pass to enjoy both the slides and the obstacle course! Click here to purchase a combo pass.

    How many people can use a day pass?

    Each day pass (or season pass) is for a single person and is non-transferable and non-refundable.

    Is there a charge for children under two in the Water Zone?

    Children 2 and under enjoy free access to the Water Zone with a paying adult, but proof of a swim diaper is required.

    When do I pick up my 2026 season passes?

    You’ll receive an email in February with details about our “Come and Get Your Season Pass” day. If you can’t make it, season passes are available for pickup anytime during Ranger Station hours.

    How much do season passes cost?

    When can I buy 2026 season passes?

    Season passes go on sale starting with our Black Friday special in November. Get yours here: Season Passes

    Are the pools open during winter?

    Yes! We keep our Lap Pool and one hot tub open during the winter for campers only. Other attractions will reopen in mid-March for weekend fun!

    Are there blackout days for season pass holders?

    No; Season pass holders can enjoy unlimited fun without blackout dates! However, on peak days and during high-traffic times, guests may be required to wait before entrance is permitted if the park reaches max occupancy. Check our park hours here: Park Hours Calendar

    How much does a day pass for the waterpark cost?

    Day passes are $29.99 per person (for ages 2 and up) when purchased online. Passes must be bought at our Ranger Station upon entering the Water Zone.

    Do I get access to the waterslides and obstacle course with my cabin or RV site?

    Yes! Water Zone passes, including access to the waterslides and Floating Obstacle Course (WIBIT), are included with both cabin and RV site reservations.

    Please note that the Floating Obstacle Course (WIBIT) is weather dependent.

    Do I need a day pass for the Water Zone?

    If you’re staying with us, Water Zone passes are included for everyone on your reservation for the entire stay. Extra guests beyond your group? They’ll need a day pass to join in the splash-tastic fun!

    If I have a Water Zone season pass, do I still pay per person?
    Yes, our occupancy fee helps cover extended pool hours, extra utilities, and all the other awesome amenities during your stay.
    What attractions are open in December?

    Winter at Jellystone is awesome! Enjoy the pool, hot tub, gemstone mining, basketball and pickleball courts, playgrounds, planned activities, and the Jump Pillow.

    What are the height requirements for the rides?
    The height requirements are as follows:
    Sidewinder Body Slide 42″ minimum Speed Slides 48″ minimum Plunge Slide Double tube 48″ in back  – 42″ in front  /  Single tube 48″
    Where do I purchase firewood?
    You can buy firewood at our Ranger Station! Please note, In accordance with best practices to prevent the spread of invasive species, firewood from outside a 50-mile radius is not allowed in the campground. Guests may bring local firewood or purchase approved firewood on-site.
    How far in advance should I make my reservation?

    We recommend booking at least six months in advance as we fill up quickly. For cabins, we suggest booking at least nine months in advance since they tend to sell out even faster. You can reserve up to 360 days ahead of your arrival.

    What’s included in the resort fee?

    Our resort fee helps us maintain and enhance the amenities and activities we offer, like gemstone mining, playgrounds, and more. This fee supports our mission to create a memorable experience for every guest.

    Can I bring outside alcohol into the park?

    Yes, responsible alcohol consumption is allowed at your campsite or cabin. Please note, glass containers are not permitted in public areas like the Water Zone.

    Is there a camp store on-site?

    Yes, our Ranger Station has you covered with groceries, camping supplies, souvenirs, and more!

    Do you offer Wi-Fi?

    Yes! Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the park. Check our speeds here *Please note that fast Wi-Fi is not always guaranteed.

    Do you offer discounts?

    Yes! We offer a military discount for active duty, reserves, and veterans, plus a Good Sam discount. Keep an eye on your email for more great deals!

    Are there fees for crafts and gemstone mining?

    Some activities are free, while others may have a fee. If an activity has a money bag symbol in the title, there’s an extra cost. Check out the details on our website or the Jellystone Park app.

    Can we book long-term camping?

    What’s the cancellation policy for overnight stays in RV Sites?
    Here’s the policy:
    • Standard Fee: A $25 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations. 

    • Less Than Two Weeks Notice: No refunds will be issued.
    • You can reschedule one time for free, up to two weeks before your check-in date.
    • Cabana and Canopy: Reservations are non-refundable; however, the reservation date can be changed if it is more than 7 days before the arrival date and we have availability
    What attractions are open in December?

    Winter at Jellystone is awesome! Enjoy the pool, hot tub, gemstone mining, basketball and pickleball courts, playgrounds, planned activities, and the Jump Pillow.

    Can I live at the park year-round?

    Are pets allowed in the park and RV sites?

    Absolutely! We’re pet-friendly, but be sure to check our pet policy for any guidelines or breed restrictions. Make sure to have your pet’s vaccination records handy, just in case we need to see them.

    Does an RV site include access to the Water Zone?

    When can we check in for RV sites?

    For RV sites, check-in starts at 1:00 PM. 

    What’s the cancellation policy for overnight stays in cabins?

    Do you offer price matching on camping reservations?

    No, we do not offer price matching on campground reservations. Our pricing reflects the value of the amenities and services included in your stay. If you have questions about current pricing or special offers, feel free to contact us at (435) 292-8407. We’re happy to assist!

    Can I tour your campground?

    We love showing off our beautiful campground! Tours are available, but not on holidays or busy weekends. Please call ahead to ensure we can accommodate you—save yourself an unnecessary trip!

    Are fireworks allowed?

    No; with the exception of sparklers, fireworks are not allowed in Jellystone Park™.

    Where can I find rates?

    What is the speed limit inside the park?

    For everyone’s safety, especially our active families with children, the speed limit throughout the park is 5.5 MPH and is strictly enforced.

    When is the cheapest time to book?

    Fall and winter offer the lowest rates, with activities limited to weekends only. You can also enjoy reduced rates during the week (Sunday-Thursday) all season long!

    Does my reservation guarantee a specific campsite or cabin assignment?

    You can guarantee your favorite site or cabin by paying a lock-in fee. If you choose not to, you’ll still get the type of campsite or cabin you selected, but not a specific unit or location.

    What happens if the dates I stay overlap in peak and non-peak seasons?

    Promos will not apply to overlapping dates of peak vs non-peak season.

    What makes us one of the best campgrounds in Southern Utah?

    We’re proud to be a top family campground in Southern Utah, with attractions like our Water Zone, pools, lazy river, jumping pillow, gem mining, and more!     How far away is your campground from Zion National Park and other parks?

    Our resort is approximately 26 miles (~26 minutes) away from the Zion National Park main entrance. Sand Hollow Reservoir is only 2.4 miles away. Other nearby attractions such as Quail Creek are about 4 miles away.

    We’re just minutes from some fantastic spots:
    • Zion National Park: A must-see for its incredible hiking trails and breathtaking views. approximately 30 miles away

    Is a deposit required for birthday packages?

    No, all birthday packages must be paid in full at the time of reservation.

    Can I bring a birthday cake to the Water Zone?

    Yes, you may bring a pre-cut birthday cake at no additional charge when you purchase a birthday party package. Please note that refrigeration is not available. Learn more about birthdays here.

    Can I bring my own decorations?

    Yes, if you have rented a cabana, you may bring your own decorations. You are responsible for all setup and cleanup. Please note that pinatas and confetti are not permitted.

    Do guests who are not swimming need an admission ticket?

    Yes, all guests entering the park need an admission ticket, regardless of whether they plan to swim.

    How far in advance do I need to reserve birthday packages?

    Birthday packages must be reserved and paid for at least 48 hours in advance.

    Do children aged 2 and under require a ticket?

    No, children aged 2 and under enter for free (with proof of swim diaper) and do not require an admission ticket.
